Scéilín ó Bhéilín is a selection of traditional stories in Irish for children – some from the living storytelling tradition and others adapted from the archives of the Department of Irish Folklore, National University of Ireland, Dublin, but all from the rich oral lore of West Kerry. Scéilín ó Bhéilín – which follows in the tradition of the highly acclaimed Rabhlaí Rabhlaí, the first publication of the project – has stories to suit primary school children at all levels, but students of Irish and those with and interest in traditional stories in Irish will also enjoy listening to, reading or retelling stories from this selection.
